Tamrac Evolution 9 Review

Have just about finished my review of this bag for my website, just didn't realise how much effort actually goes into these things!

The review is currently live here but it's not in the menus yet as I'm not sure if it's quite ready for prime time!

Biggest problem I currently have is that it's too long for one page and I can't work out how to split it into 2 as every attempt always ends up creating loads of problems!

Would appreciate any constructive feedback if you have any though please, whether it's content, my writing style or spelling mistakes, I can take it!

Its a great bag isn't it?! I didn't have the BBA problem you had, but had spent 2-3 yeasr looking - and then this came out in the summer. Camera World have it for £139.99.

Being into walking holidays, I found it great for quite a bit of kit along with lunch stuff etc in the top bit, and stored my water-proof trousers and jacket when not in use in the laptop compartment!

Also carried a tripod.

A potential downside of this style of bag is security if in a town/ city with lots of people around; I guess someone could surreptitiosuly undo a compartment and remove something from the bag whilst its on your back.

Have to agree Andy, it is an awesome bag, just wish my web design skills were awesome too!!

Have now got it split up into 3 pages which is a lot better and spent ages re-formatting it so it all stays on the left hand side, but my sidebar now appears at the bottom instead of the right! As soon as I can get that sorted then it can go live!

If anyone knows how I may have formatted it wrong for that to happen, then please do let me know!

Nice review and it looks a decent bag too, thanks for posting this.

I current have the Lowepro Primus AW which is great for hiking and carrying a bit of gear including a tripod, I wouldn't use it as an "all purpose" bag though whereas the Tamrac seems better suited in this respect

When looking, I came across the Lowepro Primus bag - even though long discontinued. Almost bought it; glad I waited another month or so, though. The side access for the camera was a bit fiddly for my liking.

Looks a cracking bag too - would it comfortably house 2 camera bodies with moderate lenses attached and then 2-3 more lenses -without using the top bit for one of the lenses ?

Have finally cracked it and it is now live for all to see after spending the whole afternoon checking every line in HTML to make sure the formatting was correct. Damn nightmare for a beginner I can tell ya!

You could put a camera with lens attached in both sides, but there would only protection from one side from the other lenses if that makes sense. Hope the pictures can say it better than I can describe it!

If it was me though I would probably carry the 2nd body without lens attached, mainly as it would give me more flexible options for packing the bag. Hope that helps!
