Hi Simon, just had another look and a minor point but one that is simple to change, the font used on the website title page for 'LANDSCAPEPHOTOGRAPHYUK.COM' is different from the font on the remainder of the home page. It would look more consistent if the same font were used throughout, even if the font size is different, especially as the title is not separated very much from the main body of the homepage.

Regards
David
Easy one to sort that David..all done, thanks

Thanks again for the feedback, I'm still in the early stages so certainly hope to improve things further...I've removed the "all photographs" menu option, as mentioned its not needed

Unfortunately as with all template based sites there are some limitations...

I think "copyright" is automatically added to all images, don't seem to have any options

The small thumbnails have limited customisation and this is the best of the bunch...on the plus side if you choose the slideshow and hover over the small thumbnails at the bottom a small pop-up appears with a larger version..hopefully this will be added to the static image thumbnails at some point? As a viewing experience the slideshow is much better than the static galleries.

I'll get rid of the frames around the images...I thought it looked ok to start with but I do see your point, looks dated.

Thanks again for everyones input, much appreciated

Very nice job Simon.

A couple of comments :

1. You need to correct this : Payment by cheque is also possible, please contact me to for details.

2. It loads fast because you are using Low-Res versions, this has it's own issues as some of the shots look 'noisier' than they otherwise would with hi-res versions (or higher res versions should I say).

3. It's a bit strange that if people want an express delivery (24 hrs) then they should contact you by email first - that would seem to be mutually exclusive
Thanks, very useful....the noisy shots are probably those taken with my K10D I'll work my way through and upload higher quality jpgs for those that look to be affected

Working on the shipping options too, I'll be adding the additional "express" option to the checkout pretty soon

Need to have a think about the header on the main pages...about flash on Zenfolio , from their site...

"Is the site Flash or Html?
Your Zenfolio site is HTML 5. The slideshows and videos do use Flash, though. Note that on iPhones and iPads, the Flash slideshow is converted into HTML so that your slideshow will function across mobile browsing platforms."

Thanks for the feedback Robin, I'm very pleased with the new look over the rather dated looking Clikpic templates I used before

Thanks for the feedback...hopefully header is sorted now on all pages, so is underline issue in workshop section (thanks John!!)

Had a look at the forward/back buttons but it seems I can't relocate them although hopfeully with a quick look around people will pick them out, slideshow option should helkp with navigation too I think

Gary, I see what you mean about the text on the home page...think I'll reduce it slightly and make it a little more keyword orientated although I've read that Google is now much more aware of obvious keyword use for ranking so it needs to be more subtle these days.

Any more suggestions/feddback would be appreciated

Thanks

After using Clikpic for a few years I've decided it's time for a refresh and I've consequently swapped providers to Zenfolio. I'd appreciate some feedback on the functionality, image display etc if you have 5 minutes to have a quick look through.

As Mattmatic said really...well worth spending some cash on a calibration tool, considering how much your camera equipment costs it's relatively cheap and certainly helps to get the final output you want from your prints

The main difference will be loss of those Pentax colours/contrast, some say that it's not important as you can sort it in PP, I don't really agree with this. Personally I find the Pentax DA17-70 excellent, sharp and very nice colour/contrast..I've owned the Sigma 17-70 in the past and it's as sharp as the DA17-70, doesn't have those colours though
