Thanks everyone,

I did get paid for the shot but it's not exactly going to make me a millionaire, nice just the same.

I've been trying hard recently to get some of my work published and I'm pleased to say that I've had a little bit of success. The BBC have just published a new book : Countryfile Perfect Days Out and my shot of Sgwd Y Eira waterfall appears on P195.

Here's the shot just in case

Sorry for blowing my own trumpet!!

Whilst I'm very pleased with my K20D when it comes to compacts/P&S I can't ever remember even considering a Pentax, I don't think it's something they're particularly good at

Nice shots, shows just how tight things were inside.

I was lucky to work on a couple of the Concordes shortly before they were withdrawn from service - as it happens the work related to installing kevlar reinforcing in the wing tanks following the "incident", unfortunately it was all too late

Nice series of images, I live and work in North Wales and believe me it definitely IS another country, my colleagues remind me often enough - in a nice way of course

Having moved from the GX10 to the K20D I've definitely seen the benefits of the increased image detail the new sensor provides..I frequently print 18x12 and honestly believe that my prints now contain more detail.

Another advantage of the larger sensor is the "cropability"...large, detailed prints are still easily possible even on images which have relatively heavy cropping

To be honest I can't really take much credit for this one...I think I've been sussed, I nicked the vantage point idea from a postcard, I was fortunate to have the flowers in bloom too.

The castle is well worth a visit if anyones ever in Jersey, we also visited Elizabeth Castle in St Helier but it wasn't nearly as interesting. The North coast of Jersey also has some fantastic coastal scenery, makes a great hike over a day or two

Thanks for the feedback everyone...the Slik 381CF looks a good option, I prefer twist locks too having been let down by a Manfrotto a while ago. Think I'll probably stick with the 234Rc head as I do find it makes using the monopod easier, it is a bit heavy though as it seems it's made from solid lead

I currently have the Redsnapper monopod + Manfrotto 234RC combo but find it a little too bulky heavy, although it's certainly sturdy. Could anyone suggest a lighter/less bulky option? I need to be able to take it with me on holiday so needs to fit in a suitcase

thanks
