Redsnappers are expensive.
That's the first time I've seen anyone say that...they're actually very cheap considering the quality, I have an aly one as a backup to my Benro CF and it's excellent

I've seen medium format images in print and there's a significant difference in detail...unfortunately PC screens aren't the media to show them at their best

I have this one. It goes absolutely everywhere with me. If I'm getting paid, I'll use this lens if I can. Always sharp.
Yes, brilliant lens for landscape or architecture..suprised it hasn't sold

Having seen the threads from the recent Snowdonia meet I decided to scout the waterfall at Ogwen as a possible location for my photography workshops...this shot was taken last Friday and the group thoroughly enjoyed the location on Saturday so thanks to the "meet" guys for the idea!!

The hinged method is best as it allows for expansion of the print, if you secure the print fully to the mount with anything then it's much more likely to ripple as the print paper and thicker mountcard will have slightly different expansion rates. Practicaly speaking it's easier, & no less effective, to hinge the print to the mount aperture rather than the backing board

Hi Simon... Pretty definitely sunlight leakage... I use a bit of cut up credit card that I slot into the eyecup... Does the trick nicely (and keeps the bank manager happy)...

Best
The daft thing is I have two eyepiece covers in the bag, just forgot this time, hopefully the last

Thanks guys, thought so...the sun was pretty much behind me too so nicely lined up with the viewfinder, another thing to make sure I remember next time

Had some fleeting sunlight in Snowdonia today and shot a few long exposures (10 stop). Noticed when looking at them on the PC they have red streaks runing vertically...is this beacuse I stupidly forgot to use the viewfinder cover? Here's a crop of one of the shots

Yes, definitely works better for me Bob, I'm drawn straight to the clock/sun now without any distractions..very nice shot, soon to be seen hanging on a wall with a price tag I'm guessing

I'm in Chester myself tonight with a group called Welshot, we're doing a few shoots around the city walls etc with a few models and a vintage theme I believe, not my normal stuff by any means so should be fun

Thanks for the comments guys.

Regarding the lens flare, It does'nt actually bother me as my view is its a phenomenon you expect to see in these conditions and I quite the shape of it.

However...it's not really about what I like, its more about what paying customers will likely like! I'll spend a bit of time cloning it out and I'll post it here later, and see what we think. Thanks Simon.
The sunburst effect is great..for me it's just the green "blob" on the bridge, it just draws my eye every time I look at the shot, I certainly wouldn't change anything else, great as it is
