I'm in Lisburn, so could pick up and save postage.

It also means the processor in the frame has less to do and does not need to do it everytime the image is shown.
I think I'll give this Gimp batch plug-in a try

I've just bought an 800x600 8" digital photo frame for my techno-phobic mother (anyone else and I would've got a cheap android tablet instead).
Is there any advantage in putting photos on it higher resolution than 800x600?
Or should I re-size all the photo to 800x600 and save space on SD card?
Haven't received it yet, so not able to test it.
Cheers,
Neil

I have just bought a Kata Access 16 holster bag, and thought I'd put up a few pictures (bad mobile ones) to give Pentax users an idea of the dimensions compared to my K-R and lens.
This is the official site, were it mentions that the Access-16 PL will take a 'small to medium DSLR with a 16-35 lens and battery grip attached' and the 'large and small side pockets enjoy a low profile/high capacity design and will hold additional lenses, flash or other accessories'
link

As you can see from the pictures it comfortably fits a K-R with a DA 16-45mm attached (with 3-4 inches spare at top).
The larger side pocket easily fits the pictured DA 50-200mm, and the smaller a DA 35mm f2.4.
The bag itself is well made and very light, with some nice touches (Gekko strap, reversible rain/sun cover, extends for longer attached lens or ones with hoods).
I wasn't sure whether to get the 16, 17 or 18 size, based on dimensions, but the 16 was just right for my camera and 3 lenses.
Here's a video (in German) showing 16 and 18 I think?

Neil

Just wondering how come nearly every picture in the gallery comes up 'Lens: Undefined' in the Exif info?
When I post a photo it doesn't allow me to pick lens from drop down box, I usually tag it instead.
Cheers,
Neil

I have it running OK on a XP netbook (I can hear the gasps of horror)!

dougf8, I'll try that tomorrow, sounds slightly easier than other guides I read about.
Sounds like it does enough to keep me busy and away Photoshop etc for a long time.
Picasa is hard to beat for alignment though.

I've been messing around with Gimp for the first time today, and I'm amazed at the difference the Unsharp Mask filter makes.
I've only tried it on jpegs I've already tweaked slightly with Picasa, but every one I've tried has shown improvement after Unsharp Mask filter.
The auto white balance improved the majority of them also.
Any other Gimp functions I should be trying, as there seems to be alot of options?
Cheers,
Neil

Have sold 2 lens to a forum member also. Haven't heard if he received lenses OK, but assume he was happy with them.
I think we can trust other forum members descriptions of items being sold more than on other sites, and that items have been taken care of.

Seems to be a lot of both lenses being sold on here at the moment.
Probably bought the DA50mm f1.8 cheap like myself, and don't use the DA35mm f2.4 anymore.
Then people upgrading to the DA or new HD 55-300mm.
