Not claiming these are particularly great shots but if anybody is interested in how the K-3 is in every day use then I've put my shots so far in to a set on Flickr:

Very impressed with metering and general handling in a variety of situations including handheld night shots.

Hoping to try my first long exposures tonight and will pop those in to the same set once processed.

Absolutely. I went K20D to K-7 then K-5 (and now K-3). You'll see a huge difference between the K20D and K-5. You won't be disappointed.

Does anybody actually shoot at these iso levels anyway? I don't think I've ever gone above 6400 and even then incredibly rarely.

Take a look here:

Jpegs look good but by all accounts downloading and processing RAW files are VERY impressive.

Woohoo! Can't wait to get my delivery from Chris. I'm off work next week so hopefully a chance to play with the new toy!

Not happy about only having 3 user slots available. the K-5 has 5 and I use them all.
As a slight aside, how do you remember which one is set up for which situation? I don't think you get an option to name them with text for instance.
Page 75 explains how to name the user modes in the same way as the K-5 pretty much.

Here is my well-loved and extremely well looked-after Pentax K100D DSLR camera for sale.

This sale includes:
* Pentax K100D Digitial SLR Camera (6.3 Megapixel)
* Pentax SMC DA 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 AL II Lens with 52mm Hoya skylight filter fitted
NOTE: this is the upgraded version II of this lens
This lens has NEVER been used.
* 4 Gb Transcend SD memory card
* Pentax camera strap
* User manual
* Software CD
* AV Cable
* USB cable
* Magic Lantern Guide book for the K100D

...all boxed as new.

The LCD screen has been protected from day 1 with a high-quality GGS optical-glass screen protector.

This camera uses 4 x AA batteries (not included). You can use re-chargeables perfectly well. The benefit of that is that you will never be far away from a source of power if your batteries run out - a definite advantage over proprietary lithium-ion rechargeables.

I cannot stress what great condition this camera and lens are in. You would find it hard to tell the entire kit wasn't brand new and i'm sure that anybody considering moving up from a compact camera to a DSRL would find this a brilliant starting point, just as I did. Remember - its not all about megapixels - the quality and size of the sensor and the quality of the lens are far more important to taking that stunning shot.

Check it out over on eBay
