Good call. Thanks

Lol was just coming here to mention that.

Seems you can copy between SD cards for instance.

Intersetign read.

Not happy about only having 3 user slots available. the K-5 has 5 and I use them all

Also on page 84 i says the inbuilt flash isn't available on certain listed lenses due to vignetting, including the DA10-17 and the DA14. I think it should be left upto the user whether they want to use the flash with these lenses.

As a slight aside, how do you remember which one is set up for which situation? I don't think you get an option to name them with text for instance.

He would have that info listed on his checklist.

As the great Craig R-H says, A-ma-zing, dahling.

I propose that we quote a suitably helpful snippet from the manual each day to pass the time until the actual camera reviews come out. I'll start...

"Insert the battery correctly. If the battery is inserted incorrectly, it may not be removed."

I just love that. Someone has imagined (or worse, witnessed, let's hope it's no one from the QC dept) some complete muppet jamming the battery in the wrong way round.

Anyone remember Frank Spencer doing the RAF aptitude test?

Page 75 explains how to name the user modes in the same way as the K-5 pretty much.

Same restrictions on K5, manual page 186. Doesn't stop you taking the picture, just done exactly that with my 14mm, but you will see the lens shadow.

As for user modes, obvious. K5 = 5. K3 = 3. So I suppose you won't be upgrading to a K1 in a year or two?

Ahhh I see. The way it read it looked like it was going to disable the flash. Iv'e taken a few pics with the inbuilt flash with my 10-17 and 14 on the K-5 knowing i'll get extreme vignetting or lens shadow

Interesting. It has all the signs of being written just from the firmware spec, without having an actual release version firmware unit there. The punters will be in for some interesting times.

Also a great deal of effort is being put into in-camera jpeg processing with stuff like purple fringe removal, moire reduction etc.
