This explains it quite simply.

Because full frame records more of the image projected by the lens. Therefore the bottle on the fence will appear smaller in the frame than if the same lens was used on a crop sensor.

Freudian slip there, the 14-24mm you mean. I'd like to see the 70-200 in action too if you're packing it I've only got a few primes at present, but you're welcome to try them out.

The bay is nice if you get the right light & you can get a half decent coffee there too. (Or pint if you're not driving)

Would you like to suggest a date or two then maybe we can get some more interest ?

Certainly isn't cheating, just nice to know how the results were achieved. Nothing wrong with a little enhancement.

I knew this lens was due in K mount but didn't know it was available. Are these out of camera jpegs or have they been "tweaked" so to speak ?

Colour looks wonderfully saturated & plenty of contrast. Enjoy it.

Matt, you are fairly correct in your assumption about pp there. However the Raw images are just so much cleaner at all but base iso & contain more dynamic range that you can "push" the images alot further in PP without polluting the image too much.

There are other benefits & drawbacks of course & I'd be happy to share my experience if anyone has any specific questions. I'm sure "Pentaxrocks" can too as looking at his sig he appears to be shooting with both systems.

I guess it comes down to what focal length you enjoy most.

I'd say my most used prime was the da 14mm as I like to get up close & emphasise perspective. I've just picked up a 20mm for use on full frame which should do the same job.
For others it may be the da* 300mm, it's very much down to the individual.
