My (limited) understanding of it is that whilst using a tripod there is less chance of camera shake whereas with a monopod it is not as stable so camera shake will be more likely so that it why I have it on, also as Matt mentions above depends on other factors, shutter speed, etc.

I've just bought one for the propeller aircraft this year at airshows so when and if I have some decent shots I'll post them on here with SR on and off for comparison.

I agree with Oggy about displaying stock levels on the website. Generally I've found them to be very good but I was waiting for 2 items for nearly 2 weeks and they said that they were on back order so I went to a competitor and the items arrived the next day from the distributor...sorry

Nice shot Amin. Where did you see this as I've always wanted to see one of these birds myself and what body did you use?

The method I use for aircraft photography is to have the camera set to Centre Weighted metering and continuous AF and continuous shooting mode. Also increase the EV up to +1 or +2. By doing this next time you may make the subject lighter against the sky.

This has only been used twice so in very good condition, boxed and instruction manuals etc included. £95 incl P&P.

I also have a Hoya blue label skylight filter for the lens £5 and a Hoya Super HMC pro 1 UV filter £10, again both prices include P&P.

Paypal or cheque or pick-up if local.

Thanks

Any comments as to whether I should get a lens hood for this? I'm thinking of buying another prime and would get this off ebay as there seems to be a few both A & M spec. If so would a smaller 52mm petal hood be ok or should I get the extended hood?

Thanks

Cliff,

The latest total from the pledges is now over £500,000 but I am not optimistic unless a last minute donor comes in similar to Sir Jack Hayward a few years ago. I think that had TVOC been managed a bit better then this situation could have been avoided...again. All very well raising the £1 million for this season but what about next year?
What is needed is a long term sponsor.

Thanks all of you for your comments BTW,

Rob

I've been looking through last season's photos and found this one taken at Farnborough against a rare blue sky. I've cropped and enlarged it though, it was taken on my old K10 and Sigma 70-300 APO DG lens.
