Any comments as to whether I should get a lens hood for this? I'm thinking of buying another prime and would get this off ebay as there seems to be a few both A & M spec. If so would a smaller 52mm petal hood be ok or should I get the extended hood?

Thanks

Rob

You don't really need a petal hood for a prime. I would have thought a cheap rubber screw on type would be fine.

Cheers, Kris.

PS don't forget the K 135mm f/2.5 and check if it is the non-SMC ones (emiliarts is selling a couple if those.)

Apart from *not* buying a hood (see my reply on the other thread) the M version is a 49mm thread...

With the exception of the original SMCP series (K) 135mm lenses, all Pentax 135mm lenses have built in hoods. That includes M, A, F, & FA lenses.

You can check all of them here.

BTW, You seem to have posted this twice, which is a dumb thing to do. Now you have to check replies in two places instead of just the one. Please don't double post.
