You'll be after a K7 then.

Think of it this way, you were pleased with your images, the others will wear out their cameras faster and will have trashed lots more images than you.
That's one way of looking at it, my batteries lasted longer and I didn't get rid of that many images in fact.

My old program A shot at 3 frames a second with the Winder II attached. I admit I don't use the FPS feature much, however, when I do it is fine for my shooting. The main complaint I have is, and I hope that the K-7 fully addresses this, is the tracking and locking capabilities of AF-C on my K10D.

Still, if it had started raining, you woudl have been the only one left shooting
When it did rain they put their cameras under their jackets and they were all staring at me as I left it uncovered and the weather proofing worked

Whilst I was at Duxford on Sunday I was in the crowdline rubbing shoulders with Canon and Nikon users obviously

The main thing I noticed was the speed of my K20D or lack of it when using continous shooting mode. Admittedly I was using RAW but compared to the speed of the other cameras it was very slow (it was embarrasing) and there was an element of doubt in my mind and jealousy but I was very pleased with my photos when I looked at them on Sunday evening.

Just wondered what others think about this function on the current DSLR range especially with the K20D? The K7 might well be quicker but then how much will that cost?

Here's a selection of images from the Best of British Airshow at Duxford on Sunday, with typical British weather, rain and crosswinds which was challenging for the pilots.

The jets were taken at 1/750 and the propeller aircraft and Chinook at 1/350.

I was just having a browse on ebay to see what there is available in the way of a 400mm prime lens for a future purchase when I came across a Pentax 400mm F5.6 ED IF priced at £1700

All I can say is ouch...

When was this lens discontinued?

Here's a very small selection of images taken at my recent visit to Shuttleworth using my DA*300 and a monopod and ball head. This was the first time that the 'pod had been used with display aircraft and I didn't find any problems with it at all

As I had the 60-250 on the other K20D my girlfriend was starting to use that when I was using the 300mm which wasn't the idea...oh well

Southend isn't a bad show to go to and weather permitting the airport can be interesting. On the front though places for photos are limited especially if you sit near the Cliffs Pavillion where you'll get most of the cable for the PA systems in your images...

Another good venue is the Shuttleworth Collection -

http://www.shuttleworth.org/events.asp

lots of old aircraft and plenty of practice with panning and getting the "prop blur". Parking is never a problem and the aircraft fly close to the crowd line. I went to their Spring Show the other week and I'll put some pictures on in due course. All of them were taken with my monopod and ball head. I recommend the Evening Shows
I was due to go on Satuday but the weather looks a bit awful...

The shows I plan to be at this year include:

Duxford Spring Display
Le Bourget
Waddington
Flying Legends
RIAT (both days )
Duxford Autumn Show

Maybe we could have a meet at one of them?

The thing with this hobby is that is weather dependant and you have to be used to being disappointed at the last minute

Trying to get an evening show in at Shuttleworth probably September time.

When we were at Shuttleworth my girlfriend commented that everyone around us was using Canon and Nikon, I didn't see a single Pentax camera being used until I noticed a chap in the shop with a K10D. I used my DA*300 and some of the Canikon users were paying a bit of interest

I wasn't able to get up to the PU meet on Saturday so I had another stroll round Duxford with my 60-250mm. Apart from being a bit windy it was a good day

Because I've not had Elements 6 that long and the book that I bought I didn't find very helpful at all, too much jargon and not very user friendly.

So a short question on this friendly forum and it's all sorted...
