I'm currently using Sandisk RescuePro to find some lost images and ones that I shot using DNG are being shown but there are some that are listed as RAW---TIFF. These were saved in the PEF format as the Pentax Digital Camera Utility 4 is showing these, I think in 8 bit format.

Using either the Pentax software or Silkypix Pro (which doesn't show them either) or any other software for that matter, does anyone know how I can covert these images to JPEG?

Thanks

Rob

For Sale is a brand new Fastpack 100 photo rucksack. This is an unwanted gift, it is too small for my purposes. I haven't even taken the tags off!!

£25 including P&P via cheque/bank transfer/paypal gift & it will be sent Recorded 1st Class.

Any queries via PM please.

I bought a Pentax SLR Neoprene strap from SRS before I went away - £13.99 and very comfortable

Compared to the Optech strap though the connectors are different, it doesn't have the same ones as Optech so you can't interchange them but a good strap all the same.

It looks like the connectors are similar to the strap supplied with the cameras.

Thanks Nathan.

I'll think I'll do as you suggest and use 2 bodies, the K7 and the K20D...would like to be using 2 K7's but never mind!!

Nathan,

Thanks for the suggestions. I mentioned that I might be using flash as I used it before at a previous event that I covered for the first time ( Lafone Cup - see my flickr page) and the official photographer was using flash as well. I don't know for certain what the lighting will be like. Although I know the location of the event for various reasons I am not in a position to disclose where it will be held until after the event

I'm re-starting this thread as there is a possibility that I may be the official photographer for the Met Police v NYPD in April - I'll find out later this week

If so I will have better access than before which means I will be closer to the action, possibly ringside this time. My 60-250mm would be too intrusive I think but I don't know if the 16-50mm will give me enough reach.

Has anyone got any suggestions? I will be using flash again so bearing in mind the 1.5x crop factor should I be looking at a s/h 28-80mm or similar or would my 18-250mm be sufficient? The downside to that is that it isn't that fast at 250mm but with the flash on the K-7 the fastest shutter speed I could use is 1/180 using the Metz AF-58 - would the maximum aperture of that lens make much of difference under these circumstances?

Thanks

Rob
