Thanks for all of your comments

I wasn't too sure about the Tamron 17-50 when I first bought it but I'm pleased with the results and it's so compact and light for a F2.8 lens.

Nice to see you around Huw

It certainly is Stefan, I just can't remember which model, I think it's a Mk 22 variant.

I could be(and probably am) wrong.
Well done for trying both of you

It's a Supermarine Seafire Mk.XVII SX336/G-KASX

A couple of photos taken at North Weald in April when they held a warbirds event. Not billed as an airshow but a good day out all the same although the weather was a bit of a let down

Taken with a K-7 and a Tamron 17-50 which I purchased the week before S/H.

As John says to start off there were mixed reviews. Thanks to you all for your comments, there's enough here for me to make my decision

Has anyone got this lens? If so what are you opinions of it. I've seen one for sale S/H and might be tempted.

Thanks

I've been asked by a colleague at work to take photos of her wedding in August next year

It's my first one so I'll be doing plenty of research beforehand to make sure I do a good job! I'll have a search on the forum for previous threads relating to weddings but can anyone recommend any books, websites, etc that might be useful?

Possibly another excuse to look for another lens...

From what I know the K-X kit lenses are optically the same as the 18-55 MK11 and the DA 55-300mm, the dfferences being that they both have a plastic lens mount, no quick shift focusing and no lens hoods...but you can the Pentax ones from SRS anyway

Hope this helps,

Rob
