An email to the local paper on Tuesday ended up with my first photo in print - really pleased!

Harlow Star

It's on page 4 along with a small article

I recently bought one of Kingston's 8GB Ultimate 133x SDHC as it was cheaper than a Sandisk Extreme equivalent. Then I noticed a Kingston 8GB SDHC Ultimate 100x which was described as having the same performance i.e Class 6 20mb/s as the Kingston 133x.

Has anyone got either of these to say whether performance is noticeably different between the two? I'll be using them in a K-5 for the majority of the time.

Thanks

Anyone used Kingston Class 10 SDHCs (32GB) in a K5 yet? I'm looking for a couple of 16 or 32GB cards and these are reasonably cheap and a *lot* cheaper than the sandisks.

Experiences, please!

I've been looking at these as well as I'm after a faster card for use in the K-5 when using the faster FPS rate as an alternative to the Sandisk Extreme and Lexar 133X Professional. Has anyone got any ideas?

I'm attempting to put an image into the Snow Globe template as featured in Digital Photo March 2009 issue. I've got the disc but the instructions are too fast and I haven't got the mag anymore as I will find that easier to follow

Does anyone still have the mag to hand and could I get a scanned copy of the tutorial please?

Many thanks

Rob

Thanks for all your advice so far.

In answer to Ken's post, I think I am ready for this as I have done a lot of test shots already at the venue which I am happy with, I was after some advice about using flash when there is snow present and how that may affect the exposure of the images.

I wasn't expecting the weather to turn out like it has and haven't used the combination of flash and snow before.

Thanks

In fact my first wedding shoot will be on Thursday this week and in all likelihood there will be snow and lots of it. Is there anything I should be aware of when taking the photos, in particular the exposure? I understand that I will have to over expose by +1 or +2 so that the snow is white but I will also be using on-camera flash with my Pentax K-7. The Groom and other male guests will be wearing all black.

If I'm using flash is the snow going to cause me major problems??

I'm fairly comfortable with my settings on the whole as I have spent some time preparing for it - hope it all goes to plan now

Having done this test Mike which mode would be best would you say for using the K-5 at an airshow?
You could get away with focus priority as the planes are normally flying past and you are panning with it rather than them coming straight at you. Would probably use the 5 focus point option rather than centre but not sure how well that works yet.
Thanks for that Mike, very helpful
