yes the guy should have followed the rules but this topic about photoshop use is like flogging a dead horse,the same as the HDR one, at the end of the day if you like what you see does it really matter how it got there whether a factual representation or created. not a bit.

i found the DA*16-50 to be the equal of the DA21 and DA40 at their focal lengths, the DA70 i found i hardly used but i have kept the DA15 because for me it has "something", when i know what it is i will let you know.

all the hdr shots i put up the other day were DA15, i find it just nice to use. cannot define that exactly, it is one of those when you use it you know ,great to walk around town with.

Jim, you would be quite brave to wander around there even now at night i think,especially with your camera. would be alright in a group. daytime is ok. virtually all the offices that were in that end of Southgate have been turned into student lets, a lot of the small shops have gone because the flow of people has not been directed up through Southgate to the city.

at least ,love it or hate it, because of the hype you only had to see that camera and you knew it had been made by Pentax it did not need a name badge and you would still have known because it was different. put K5,D7000, 600D side by side rip the names off and they all follow the same old style nothing stands out, it just needs Ricoh/Pentax to do the same again but prettier,not abandon the format. get the name in the press for the right reasons.

none taken Smeggy, thanks to all for your comments. the view to the Cathedral was more about the fact that the buildings that were there employed people and what goes back,after the build, do not, all short term.

for creativity i would say that elements 11 would be of more use than lightroom, lightrooms strength seem to be organising and batch processing which i cannot imagine would be what your main criteria are. you seem to like to "play" with your pictures which makes elements more the choice to make for you and once you learn using layers you will be away.
