also epson have the finest jets, that is why they are more prone to problems with 3rd party ink, fom a pro who gave a talk at camera club who used 3rd party in his r1800, he was fortunate he was able to clean them and reverted to epson ink without any further problems. the reason he talked about the printer was the fact that the excellent quality of his prints was commented on and enquiries were made as to who printed them.

"used a test chart, free in Amateur Photographer"

i had this chart but from recollection the instructions were chart at 45 to camera, wide open aperture and 25 or 50 x focal length of lens between chart and lens. which is why i queried the distance. there was also a tutorial on youtube around the same time with what appeared to be the same chart that said just beyond minimum focal distance. then you have ricehigh doing comparison checks with live view. no consistency, probably best to send to JOHNSONS and have body recalibrated

not much difference between them from what i gather when it has been discussed on here, just the size difference, which could make a difference to what, who, where you shoot. i stood in the mddle of Gloucester in the Saturday afternoon shoppers snapping away with the K5/15 combo and nobody batted an eye, not sure it would have been the same with a large lens on. not sure i would have been so comfortable either.
i have started to use this lens more, still learning it, so i do take just the kit i listed so i am not side tracked into using something else, also quite often on dog walk so changing lens not an easy option.

Louise, if you are in York of an evening take a ghost walk, the best £3 i have spent in my life. infomative and very entertaining, you will see and learn far more about the city than just wandering around.

is it wise for everything to be on one card,i would be gutted if i lost or damged it or it went wrong, perhaps 4x16g would be a safer option.

epson do photo paper of different types and sizes on a roll, that i know the R1800 will print so assume one of the more modern models would, the rolls are quite long though and expensive and may not be financialy viable unless you intend to do more of this size

battery voltage should be measured under load to obtain a true picture, also the current being drawn through it by the camera in relation to it,s rated current is also a factor on its life. not sure how easy this would be to do with a camera
