Bit late with this.

My latest photo-related acquisitions are:

K1 Mk iii + Grip
Epson V600 Slide/Negative scanner.

The camera got a good work-out in Germany & Prague during October, the scanner is still in its box, pending a re-fit of my office in a couple of weeks to give me more room - around a thousand slides to scan and I don't know how many negatives. Definitely a winter project,

For what it's worth, I've been using Epson printers for a good 20 years or so - they do an excellent job.

As with other manufacturers, the machines are relatively cheap, they make their money on the ink. Also, it's more economic to use the printer regularly rather than "once in a blue moon", but if you don't have the need then there's not a lot you can do about that.

If your use is very infrequent, it might prove advantageous to use a business centre - take your work along on a USB stick and print at their facility.

Have you asked SRS? I know they contract out, but it might be to someone you've not tried...

I've been using the AI Denoise from Topaz for a couple of years and have no issues with it. That said; it does add to the workflow - if Lightroom can now do the same job "in-house" it's a step saved.

Went into SRS on Tuesday and came out with a Pentax HD D FA 50mm F1.4 Lens and a new camera bag. As Chris said - don't see the credit card limit as a limit, see it as a target!

Just to update this, I tried several low-cost alternatives to the Analogics Slimport adapter as recommended in the KP manual; none worked. The only place I could find the specified item was in the USA. Fifty six quid later it's arrived and been tested. It works perfectly.

Why this isn't available in the UK is beyond me.

Well now that the buyer has left feedback and is obviously happy with it .... he was in France so paid £50 for the postage (Ebays global shipping) plus nearly £200 in import duty so all told he paid nearly £800 in total . I also had best offer on the lens and he didn't even bother with that.

TBH I thought I was going to have problems but apparently not.
Would probably have been cheaper for the purchaser to come and get it!

It's part of a WWII memorial on the Embankment, there are a couple more abstracts from it in this lot link
