Just to update this, I tried several low-cost alternatives to the Analogics Slimport adapter as recommended in the KP manual; none worked. The only place I could find the specified item was in the USA. Fifty six quid later it's arrived and been tested. It works perfectly.
Why this isn't available in the UK is beyond me.

Can anyone recommend a HDMI adapter for this? I already had several leads to connect to USB, but my K5 has its own mini connector for video.
