Thanks for the judging, Aiki and congrats to i-Berg.

I don't think that I did too much PP on this, as you know it was supposed to be a high key photo. This also is the reason that some of the detail is hard to see.

As you know I'm on a ship right now and don't have the original pic, so I cannot say what PP I did apply.

Anyway, good fun to take part in the fortnightly again, hadn't done that for a while.

Thought that should be delicate enough for this theme.

A nice set indeed! Like the rapeseed (I didn't have time again this season One day I'll succeed...) and this blind is just fantastic!

Good job!

Tim, I really feel for you. Being stuck in awful places like Hong Kong and Thailand.

On the shot: It must have been very difficult on the timing. I think it works without the goggles, you should have held the eyes open, though. Focus is fairly good considering the set-up. I like the soft shape of the water, especially over your left ear; the reflection on your upper forehead also looks very nice.
All in all a worthwhile experiment I would say.

Excellent shot! I like the idea to put the tree in centre position with the architecture framing it and grabbing the attention back.
Well done!

Ok Mike, I'll bite:

I don't think that the composition is meandering, in fact I think it is very nicely structured. Starting from the bottom: Sheep on muddy ground, next a stripe of green, the line of trees and the sky.
Yes, the big tree is central, as is the horizon (ok, not exactly central but close). And the colour might be a tad off (but not much).

For me it does work and I thought that the composition was part of it. I like the pointless sheep looking ...err.... pointless. The triangle you mention does also add to the appeal.

A very interesting shot that is worth to tinker with a bit longer. I'm also one craving for the top bits of train.
Yes, the cropped version is nice and does work on it's own and it is a very good shot. It's just that with the train it is even better.

I'm with Pauly, if the sky is too bright then darken it.

I like it as well. But shouldn't you have been closer to the ground?
