Bought whole host of varieties of batteries from them and as mentioned quite reasonably priced and the stuff looks good quality, especially the 9volts batteries for smoke alarms and RC controlled cars.Fairly long shelf life too.Good purchase and would certainly recommend.

Looking forward to these shows. Going to Focus for the first time and would make sure to attend Photokina. Guessing thats going to be in London probably in Earls court.

I am hoping this show must be good cos almost all the big names connected to digital photography i.e.,software, studio lighting, accessories,graphic designers and others concerned with photography are featuring.

I am still waiting for my cashback. I rang last week and was told by the woman that they had an unprecedented number of entries for the cashback offer and it seems they never expected for so many to enter into the offer and would take a bit longer and soon the money should be in your account, hopefully.

As you are aware 23 european countries have participated in this cashback promo and clearly it seems they do not have adequate resources to handle such large number of entries.

I would have appreciated if they had put out an email notification to all concerned instead of ringing them and finding out.You don't need to be a rocket scientist to do that?

Can anyone tell me why Pentax is not featuring in this year's european Focus on Imaging show at NEC Birmingham from 7th-10 March.I looked into the list of stalls and was shocked to find that Pentax weren't there, while Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji and Panasonic were representing in the show.

Having released very competetive DSLR models in 2008/2009, I am quite disappointed to know that the company is not so keen to get the message out when pros,as well as amateurs in photography are going to be there during those days.

Does Pentax consider that they cannot compete with Canon and Nikon and hence do not see the point in representing or is there a valid reason which we do not know?

It makes life whole lot easier when you get useful info and iam sure it benefits everyone when such valuable input is provided regarding this issue. It has certainly provided me reasonable knowledge especially with regards to lenses.But then again you are still left with retailers in the uk who sell these imports.How do you figure that out? Probably by word of mouth and like these forum discussions i guess.Maybe create a link with names of all uk retailers who do not than those who do.

As mentioned by JohnX regarding purely gadgets, i was surprised to note that they were offering 5yr warranty on all lenses bought from their website and sounded too good to be true.With lenses grey imports are a different ball game i guess.They are made in vietnam and shipped all over the world.

What you are implying is if for example if a retailer in the uk imports a bunch of pentax goods from usa and sells it in the uk, it is considered as grey import.How can you figure this out. From what you are saying grey imports are not fakes but they are legitimate products meant to be sold in a different country or continent to be more precise. I think this issue gets a bit complicated when it matters for EU countries.

Can somebody put forward online websites selling Pentax grey imports. And what exactly constitutes a grey import? Cos somebody suggested Purely gadgets as one. I happen to visit Pentax demo day at halifax and purely gadgets was mentioned there.I guess its important for buyers to know websites to avoid when buying expensive glass and other accessories.

Amazon Uk is a Pentax designated dealer and it is the first name in the drop down dealers name provided in the Pentax cashback offer application form. So you should get your cashback. As long as you buy from amazon and not from other marketplace sellers within amazon uk you should be fine.I double checked with them.
