To be honest removing the battery was probably a better option anyway.
I've also has a car with a PIN code. That whent in for a service & came back with the code rest to the factory default. It seems that using the default number, bypassed the system & reset the number. (I replicated this myself)
Added security from this feature - very little.
Added hastle in use - too much.
I would be reluctant to get a camera with this feature as a menu option too. I can just see my kids enabling it for a joke (without remembering what PIN they entered!)

Vignetting is easily missed in the viewfinder in my experience, at least if your not specifically looking for it.
FWIW if both lenses are focused at infinity the magnification should be 90/28 (from the focal lengths) or roughly 3x. (The ~8mm view works out much the same)
BTW with most lenses the focusing of the reversed lens will not effect the focus of the image as it only moves the lens mount further from the lens elements - increasing the degree of vignetting.
Nice sharp focus, with a more detailed subject, the centre portion could be quite usable. I suspect a 50mm would stack better though giving you ~2x magnification and probably less vignetting.

Until recently Pentax users have outnumbered Nikon, but Canon outnumber everyone else 3:1.
Fortunately members realize that it's the photographer that matters not the camera - except I guess for the underwater photographer - with some excellent shots from an i-phone putting some other members dslr shots to shame. The best camera is the one you've got with you!

Tony will certainly be missed.
I suspect Oggy's camera settings may be a bit out, surely he'll now have perfect light - which is normally reckoned to be nearer dawn/dusk.

Since getting the K7 cropping works better & the scope hasn't been on a camera since.

I'm tempted to upgrade my MF version (even though I wouldn't use AF for most macro)

The spending conditions electively ruled out second hand bargains.
I'd like to upgrade my K7 to a K5 but the Bigmos worked out a better option. (SRS had it on offer JUST within the budget)
The decision is surely dependant on your existing hardware, if you have a hole in your line-up then it might be the opportunity to fill it. The Bigmos has worked out very well for me as I do a fair bit of motor racing photography, along with birds, aircraft....
I also have a gap between the DA10-17 & the DA18-55 (bigger than the numbers suggest), the sigma 10-20 was a possibility here, but I'm not sure that cropping isn't enough to cope with this gap.

I was lucky with the lighting, it was awful the following day at Rockingham
