What a great event Mike - particularly like 1 + 2

No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more

2 is my favourite

Nice shots
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

Thanks for your comments. No.2 is my favorite too - it's short listed for entry into a workshop exhibition next month.

I was lucky with the lighting, it was awful the following day at Rockingham

Really like the 2nd and last but maybe with a slice off the bottom? Like a 5x7 crop?

Thanks Gareth. I think your right, loosing the gull & reducing the empty foreground would be an improvement.
I've been back for a couple more of their annual regattas since these where taken, but the light's not been as good 7 my location may have been less favorable as well.
Hopefully I'll manage quite a few more, but I was working last year.

I learned to sail in a gaff rigged oyster catcher
These are all magnificent, though I like the first one personally because it gives a better idea of the fun of racing these beauties.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
