After years of using IE in all its variuos flavours/releases I installed IE8. Numerous sites would not display properly even in compatabilty mode, constant Hanging and application must close messages.
I am now using FF and have had NO problems with ANY sites, including the ones that IE struggled with.

Willard Boyle and George E. Smith, researchers at Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, New Jersey, will each receive a quarter of the ten-million-Swedish-kronor (1.4-million-U.S. dollar) 2009 Nobel Prize in physics.

Canada-born Boyle and Smith, a U.S. native, invented a sensor for capturing digital images called the charge coupled device or CCD.

I have some old lenses, Sigma mini wideII (macro) with A position and an old Tamron 70-210 Zoom (model 103A). I know the manual says that lenses with position A can be used and that there is a setting to allow aperture ring use but, if I attached say the zoom and didnt set aperture ring use would the mount short the electrical contacts on the camera body and cause damage?
Sorry to appear dumb, but I dont want to damage the camera by doing something stupid.
I have however just bought a sigma 55 - 200 lens. Anybody had any experience with these? My first impression is that it seems ok.

Well I got a Lowepro Fastpack 250 from http://www.morrisphoto.co.uk/ Ordered on Wednesday, arrived first thing on Thursday, great service, goodprice too. The bag itself is very comfortable, has loads of space (for my kit anyway) and the side entry (slingshot style) is very useful. All in all good bag from a good supplier.

looking at the zooms on offer which if you could only buy one would you go for. 18 - 200/300 or 55 - 200/300. Also would this effectively make the kit lens redundant. I have seen lenses from Tamron, Sigma and even a Pentax DA offered at around the £200 mark, would these be decent quality?
I already have an old tamron adaptall 2 that i used on my me super. I know i can use this lens (cant I ?) but havent tried it yet!
Advice most welcome.
