The local price here from the Pentax importer/distributor is GBP594 inc tax.

On top of that you have shipping and taxes to pay if you buy from the UK.

I would hazard a guess that SRS are paying more than that from Pentax UK who are at best, box shifters.

GBP725 is a fair price all things considered.

Best regards

I'm pretty certain that the £699 price is genuine (from Microglobe?) and not a scam, but the lens Percy is selling is a "Made in Japan" version (the Microglobe one will almost certainly be an A.I.V. version) and is silver - making it very different (for some people). I think Percys price is fair too, and he does state that he's open to offers.
Thank you both for your comments re: fair price.

I've had a look at Microglobe as well, and while I would have some reservations ordering it online at that price, I would view it differently if I were in the store and could try it first. Then it might be a great bargain.

But in the meantime - still open to reasonable offers

Bought this lens last year from another forum member with the intention of doing some macro photography, but unfortunately it's just not getting used so it's time to cut back the kit to those lenses that I do use.

Clean and good working order.

Currently listed at £339 at SRS.

Asking £210 including UK delivery.

Will try and post some photo's later this evening, but I'm sure you all know what it looks like anyway.

Advice:

£699 is too good to be true. I have seen these unbelievable offers, checked the company out and the alarm bells went off. They are probably based in somewhere like Thailand and will be grey imports if you are lucky. Some don't even exist.

From now on I am buying new gear from SRS, the warranty is worth it alone and they are competitive.
I agree

this is kinda on my list the FA 31mm... its just the cost of the beast and I already own the FA 35mm f2

I've seen it new from a shop for £699, so I suspect my offer would be a bit too low... Then there's convincing myself (LBA?) /
I think if you can find it new at that price in the UK you should snap it up. SRS (who are usually pretty competitive for Pentax stuff) are currently listing it at £1,041.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not in need of another camera.
