I will probably regret this, but I have decided to sell my FA31 Limited lens.

It's a great lens that probably has just about the best reputation amongst all Pentax lenses. Unfortunately it just isn't getting enough use since I acquired it.

Silver, Made in Japan. Good condition, clean and in perfect working order.

Asking price is 725 including UK delivery.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not in need of another camera.

this is kinda on my list the FA 31mm... its just the cost of the beast and I already own the FA 35mm f2

I've seen it new from a shop for 699, so I suspect my offer would be a bit too low... Then theres convincing myself (LBA?) /

I think if you can find it new at that price in the UK you should snap it up. SRS (who are usually pretty competitive for Pentax stuff) are currently listing it at 1,041.

Advice:

Be careful where you buy camera gear from. I am returning a K30 today just of of warranty and I have to send it to Pentax themselves.

SRS and other official pro-camera centres offer longer warranties and they are particularly great for warranty periods.

I would say you would never see this lens if you 'bought' it! Google the shop/company with 'review' and see what the results say. I bet you there is a myriad of burned customers who got shafted.

699 is too good to be true. I have seen these unbelievable offers, checked the company out and the alarm bells went off. They are probably based in somewhere like Thailand and will be grey imports if you are lucky. Some don't even exist.

From now on I am buying new gear from SRS, the warranty is worth it alone and they are competitive.

The local price here from the Pentax importer/distributor is GBP594 inc tax.

On top of that you have shipping and taxes to pay if you buy from the UK.

I would hazard a guess that SRS are paying more than that from Pentax UK who are at best, box shifters.

GBP725 is a fair price all things considered.

699 is way too good to be true.
Even Flash Camera in Scotland (who sell imports derived from the US) want 899 and they're usually the cheapest UK seller.

I don't think its a scam, its a physical shop in central london near a tube station. I would go and buy in person if I was doing this.

In the past they have clearly marked some lenses as "UK sourced stock", this one isn't marked in that way. So may or may not be...

An email/phonecall or visit might determine that...

TBH, I do not understand why you posted this on someone else's sales thread if you are not even interested in the lens?
