Welcome. I am sure you will love the K200D its now my second camera as I got the K20D yesterday, but I really enjoy using the 200D

Thanks for your comments. I will load the bigger picture onto the gallery tomorrow for you. For ePhotozine the photo has to be this size. Will look at some other photo sharing websites so I can load some more!

Spent this morning at Potteric Carr Nature Reserve in Doncaster with John trying to master my technique with the K20D I got on Friday and improve my macro skills! I have posted one of my shots on the gallery which I like when it is zoomed in but am not sure about as it looks on screen. The one below is another of today's shots for comment please. I seem to be struggling a bit moving away from wildlife on safari to wildlife in the UK

Nice to see you going out and playing with your new "toy". I agree that maybe the subject matter with regards to the landscapes isn't that exciting, but I like the dog one and the lake reflection, but agree the colours are a little pale. Where you using a lens hood to reduce the glare?
Keep going you'll enjoy trying and get a great deal of satisfaction when you nail a really good one

Thanks for the comments. I have cropped the image but I have run out of space on here and Flickr and ePhotozine So the new one will have to wait.

Well after all your wonderfull advice and some carefull pondering I have ordered my new play toy from SRS.
I decided to go with the Pentax K20D Body + 18-55 II, Tamron 70-300mm, Case & 4gb - £669.00
I felt this would be the best package for what I want to do and to get me rolling, I can save up for some higher quality prime lenses or telephoto lenses when budget permits.
So when it arives and ive snapped a few shots ile upload some so you guys can boot me in the right direction (from a technical pov of course )

How are you getting on with the K20D?
Mine has just arrived. Haven't started doing anything yet expect downloading the firmware. I am going to a Nature Reserve on Saturday to practise with the Sigma 100mm macro. Not sure whether to take the 20D too or whether that would be too much learning in one go. It is a bit different from the 200D.
