OK. Enough flirting. Mind you this is a friendlier post than most at the moment! Why don't you liven it up by suggesting how much better it would have been if you'd had a K7 with Video!

Not even been on my first safari and already planning my next. Keep trying to talk myself into going to Antartica. £5k, 16 days and a billion penguins! Wonder if I'll need colour film?
I mean't to mention to you. If you are taking Deet insect repellant (normally 50%), don't get it anywhere near you camera or equipment. It melts plastic

Hi and Welcome. We used say this was a really friendly forum, but since the K-7 debate started we are not so sure

I nearly booked that one! I also want to go to Patagonia, Namibia, Zambia, Yellowstone, Candian Rockies, Victoria Falls, to see Polar Bears and Tigers if they move them!

Keep on dreaming

That surprises me, I thought I might have to join a very long queue.

All my so called single friends keep saying they have no money cos of the credit crunch!

Can you recommend a tour company?[/quote]There are quite a few to choose from but I have used http://www.wildarena.com/ twice now. They are very good and do UK tours as well. You won't lose anything checking out there website. However, they get booked up really quickly

Not so sure about one and three, but can't put my finger on why though.
Thanks Bob.

I'm not as sure about those two either, which is why I stuck them up for C&C. They are colourful, sharp, framed nicely ( IMO ), but missing something.
I love the colours in those 2 but maybe the bridge is spoiling them?

Nice. I like the way the sun is reflecting off the bottom of the clouds. Lovely shot

Glad to hear Gibb's Farm is still going strong. I was last there in 1983. I suspect it is rather different today.

G, You would be amazed. I was completely speechless when shown my "room". It took me 10 minutes to close all the blinds. It had an enormous bed, a separate bathroom area which consisted of a bath big enough to drown in, an open fire, an indoor shower, an outdoor shower!, a seating area for while the bath filled up and finally a toilet! I only used the indoor shower

Peter, Lovely set of photos. I like the way the sheep is looking at you in No2.

Jeanette, if you are ever short of a travelling companion, I'm up for it.

I spent a weekend in the Krueger National Park in South Africa (when it was under white rule) and took hundreds of shots on film (PC's weren't even around then, let alone DSLR's). Best weekend of my life so far except I never did see a cat up a tree and the only lions I saw were about a mile away.

Excellent images, thanks for sharing them.
Thanks Manesty,

Oddily enough I often do have trouble finding a travelling companion! Be warned though - these trips don't come cheap. I use a specialist photographic tour company these days.

Glad you like the photos - I enjoy taking them and being there with the animals
