Why is it people get backs up when others buy cheap batteries. Surely its up to them how the power their cameras and other equipment.
When a car battery packs up probably more than 90% would go their motor factors for a non standard battery. Lots run cars on supermarket fuel because its cheaper, others use Aldi and Lidl for cheap food. Depends on your pocket.
Most of the people saying that the cheap batteries are no good have not actually tried them but have tried Hama batteries, Why? Surely they should have spent £60 on a Genuine Pentax one. Also in their lists of lenses you see Sigma, Helios and other cheaper than Pentax lens. Surely all they should use are DA* lens.

John, I am not logging out from the site. All I do is go from one part of the site, new post page, to another part, the posted message page, then back to new post page. PU then thinks I logged out or went from the site entirely. I don't have to log-on again although it could be happening automatically. I don't usually close PU while the puter is being used.
At the moment I have opened this post by right clicking and opening in a new tab, from the "new post page" , Using IE10 and Win 8.
This way I am leaving the original new post page open all the time which seems to be a work around but is more hassle with all the clicking about.
Maybe things will sort themselves out without touching anything at all!

If you cant get inside, try borrowing an angle grinder and grind the protrusion off. ( I take it that its working similar to an electric drill switchgear)

Hi there, I keep getting a problem while I am on this site looking at forum posts. I open PU up as the page showing "new posts since last login".
Fair enough this is what I get.

Now the problem is that sometimes I go to a series of posts, maybe the whole thread, but when I then go back to the "new posts" page it goes to new posts but at the new time. This means that I then miss much of what is going on.

Eg first log-on 12.00. go to a thread for say 20 minutes, then back to new posts and it sows the new log-on time as 12.20, And then all the previous posts have gone excepting any sent between 12.00 and 12.20

Can anybody suggest a setting that could be altered so that PU does not think I logged out. Cookies are on, must be as I don't need to actually log in with name and password.

There must be other makes out there, I can only say about what I actually have used.

That looks the same as the £8.95 one on Amazon. Whole 2p cheaper!!!

I also got 2 K5 batteries off Amazon for under £5

They perform as well as the Original with over 1000 pictures to a charge.
Don't know if they were good value or not until I use them for 10 years, but so far at 1 year old they still seem as good.

I got one of these from Amazon. Works a treat on 240v. Indicator to show how much charge in battery as it charges. 12v carcharger and travel different countries..

I have the same lens . Get on great with it. I feel it focuses faster than my Pentax 55-300 with virtually no hunting. A few examples taken at Grasstrack meeting all jpegs straight from K5 with no pp except cropping and resizing here
