The weather was good yesterday so I decided to have a day trip over the border to France. It wasn't primarily a photographic trip but I grabbed my K5iis, Sigma 17-50 F2.8 and Pentax 12-24 to take with me. Glad I did, I would have been annoyed if I only had my phone as it turned out.

A very worthwhile trip across the border. That old fort is impressive, but "Guard Dog" is specially appealing.

So, there is something to see in B@@@@e?, I just thought it was just a small insignificant village as I passed through the area and giggled like a small girl when I passed the sign on the autoroute heading towards Karlsruhe.

Love the images of the dog, like Gareth I can't resist images of our furry friends.

Thanks for the comments all.

Yes, if you‘re passing by it‘s well worth a quick diversion to visit the fort.

Another place worth a stop around there is Wissembourg, which is right on the border. There‘s an impressive abbey church there and some nice little side streets etc.
