AP just can help themselves. They will no doubt be already busy sharpening their pencils for a negative review of the new camera.
I used to be a regular buyer but got fed up with rehashed articles, loads of sponsored "reviews" etc.
My son showed me a recent article about Olympus by their Editor.
The article concluded with this pathetic sentence "It would be tragic if Olympus were to go the way of Pentax, a brand with a once proud heritage that now exists in name only and is more associated with spectacles than cameras."

Another vote for Outdoor Photographer. I would also suggest Black and White Photographer if that style of photography is of interest. I was along time AP reader but have ditched it, as it is a leading "Pentax is Doomed"
magazine with regular snide comments about Pentax.

When I joined I, without realising it, sent a photo taken with a Fuji.
Within a day I received an email pointing out my error an advising it would not be displayed on the site. Perhaps newer members are unaware of the requirement

I have always thought Outdoor Photography a decent buy. As the name suggests, it's main content are articles on landscape and wildlife photography and photographers but they do review cameras, lenses and outdoor kit. Reviews of Pentax have been generally favourable over the years and they do not seem to have a preference for any particular brand.

I entirely agree about Amateur Photographer. It has become a really tired and clichéd magazine and should really re-brand itself as Digital Mirrorless Cameras.
This will be the same editor who did a real hatchet job on Pentax last year basically saying they were finished and mirrorless products would take over the world. He is a big fan of Fuji and the magazine really pushes the brand on a regular basis.

It has just been announced that Olympus is to stop producing cameras.
Olympus have blamed the rise of cameraphones as a significant factor in their decision.
I have always had a soft spot for them and my first two cameras were Olympus including a rather strange one that claimed to be a panoramic one, which it wasn't!!
So much for media predictions that Pentax would be the first to fall.

Really impressed with both sets.
I was in Venice in 2016 using the MX-1. I found that a lot of my images were nondescript and just filed them without really looking. Having seen these sets prompted me to re-visit mine and what do you know, converting to black and white has resulted in some rather good ones!!8
