This is potentially bad news for retailers.
It doesn't fit well with me but I am ancient and always prefer to see/hold a product before buying.
However, given the dearth of retailers in the UK ,many already buy their cameras online and this is probably a variation on that ongoing process.

Probably not the same issue but the website is not recognised if you are using Microsoft Edge. You have enter Google and then access it via that site. This has only recently happened for no apparent reason!!

This new model will probably do well as it offers an option to the Griii albeit I suspect forking out an additional £700 odd pounds may put current owners off!!
The Griii is an exceptional compact camera with an impressive lens and specs. One of the usual negatives mentioned is battery life. Personally I have not found this and, last week , used the camera at my daughters wedding and managed 350 exposures ,using snap focus, without changing the Ricoh battery ,which still has juice left in it.

Another vote for the 16-85 and mine worked straight out of the box!!

Phone cameras have increased in quality of image produced and there is every reason to anticipate further advancement, particularly If lenses can be attached.
As this situation will affect all stand alone camera manufacturers, Pentax really has to consider emphasising and promoting their "niche" camera position now that everyone has deserted that DSLR ship. Whilst Ricoh will consider Japan and the Far East their main market, they should make some effort at promotion in Europe, particularly of the K3iii.
The last occasion I recall of any obvious marketing was when the K10D came out!!

In my neck of the woods the best place to buy photographic magazines are the supermarkets.
I ditched AP some time ago as I was fed up with re-hashed articles and the boringly regular Pentax is doomed comments.
I now buy Outdoor Photography and Black and White Photography. Both are printed monthly and are available at Tescos along with your meat and veg!!!
