Well I've decided my next camera will definitely be a ...
Obviously there is one thing that we all have not mentioned. The Primes!
Small, well built, fantastic IQ.
Not only the mighty Limiteds, but things like the SMC-FA ones, SMC-F, SMC-M, SMC-K, M42 Takumars etc etc.
They Always make me smile.

Read my other post in the mirrorless as to why.
Having said that, my K-5 always makes me smile. It is the first Pentax DSLR that does everything I ask of it. It is a joy to use
Hopefully come next April, the K-3 will give me a bigger grin, not that the K-5 will be going anywhere soon.

If I can get it to them this week, and pick it it up in the morning of the event, I would be happy.
Even now I am looking at prices for a bargain basement body with the same sensor (K30 K-500) even though I was not planning to get a new body until April/May next year and the K-3. Such is the fact I do need a backup to my mighty K-5 that performs better than my K20D, hence the K-01.

I hear that this latter issue is somewhat common.
Very Frustrated!

The 50-135 is a great lens and if it looks like rain then it's the one to fit on the camera. Otherwise a selection of compact primes is the perfect way to fill the bag. That's the trouble with lenses, they all have their uses.

The OOF bokeh does seem better than the SMC model, less fussy. Still not 77mm quality, but a lot better. The curved blades on the HD seem to do their stuff.
For me, it is a lens on the "Want" list. Whether I need it for portraits when I have the mighty DA*50-135mm is another matter. But then again I like to have a small fastish prime for this purpose, and for general use too.
