I cannot choose which, but my 21mm, 28mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, even 90mm and 135mm suit certain situations.

At the end of the day, it is the "pixel Peepers" who are more concerned about infinite sharpness, and yes, it is a desire for all of us. But the reality is that we will choose a lens that provides the effect that we all want or even need.
So the 20-40 Limited. How would that stack up? Having never seen, or even tried the lens, yet seen the rumbles on the various forums, it makes you think. Is it a bad lens? No, on the contrary, I think, looking at results posted, it is the opposite. Is it super-sharp? Well look at what I have said above.
Is it useful? Well of course it is! I have the 21mm Limited, the 28mm F, the 35mm F2.4 and the 40mm Limited. Yet having all these lenses, there are times when having to change them all on the body can be a bind. Oh it is also weather-sealed which is a major bonus. Yet it is still a small lens.
I would honestly say forget about what the internet says about this lens, it not a bad lens at all, consider what it will give to your photography and if you feel that it meets what you want, then purchase it. I am sure that a lot of us pentaxians will think about getting one.
Told you I would be controversial.

Still, I am not going to get the K-3 until March anyway (bonus time) So I wonder if Chris would do a swap for a 50mm F1.8 instead, even if it is cheaper. It would be another addition to my nifty collection......

I have one and use it occasionally with my 50mm.
Cheap as chips, and well worth a go.

I went round to a friend last weekend. Usual thing, coffee and a chat (mainly photography). She is a Canon user of very pro stuff, she has a couple of 1D mk4's and plenty of beige.
She has seen my K-01 before and thought of it as a brick and "quirky" in style (can't argue with her there). However this is the best bit. She wanted to have a peep of the shots I took earlier, so I handed her the K-01.
First words out of her mouth were, and I am not kidding, "this feels really great in the hand, everything is where it should be".
There you go, a brick, a quirky looking camera that actually if you get over the unique looks, is actually a great camera to use.
Needless to say I agree with her fully, it is a GREAT camera to use and handles brilliantly. Shame that people who really moaned about it have only looked a pictures of it on the web, yet never set foot in a camera shop and actually put it in their hand. If they had, then I am sure a lot more would have been sold and the ridicule would have stopped. But hey ho, that is human nature, ridicule that you do not understand.
I love mine to bits, and I am finding more and more ways that this is a camera that is better than my K-5 for certain situations. Long may it continue.
