Overall I think you did really good. What seems to be the main problem is the motion blur. To slow shutterspeed.

A new lens could help for sure. A flash could help as well - bu still you need a lot of light.

I have done this myself a few times. The hard thing I think, is all the ambient light as well as flash light from other cameras. That makes it hard to find the right setting - the light changes all the time

Had some spare time tonight. Worked a bit on this portrait.

It is a bit different than usual. Any comments are welcome.

Talking of which, you're a lot younger than I thought you'd be. And what Pentax camera model is that you're using?

I picked the Manfrotto 055Xpro - maily due to two things:

1) It is high enough for me to use without the center column

2) The center column can switch from vertical to horizontal. I use this a lot when doing macro.

I also use a ball head. Very easy to use.

Very nice shots Clarky...

What lens did you use for this?

I really like 1 and 4. The head shot of the mouse is excellent.

Nice John. I'm very interested in this - since I have the Pentax model. I use it a lot for wildlife(zoo) shots. Most of my pictures are around 200-300 mm - so I would love to see some test shots off these lenghts.

Another thing - I had a UV filter mounted (a ca*** one). I removed it now - but haven't tried it since. I have read a few threads about loosing quality when using these filters - so I have to try to see if I get better results. I reallly love it's low weight and easy handle.

Excellent job G. This was truely a hard one - and thanks a lot for the kind words.

Dr. Mhuni - a worthy winner - and no doubt Clarkys shot was one of the best so far.....very nicely done Clarky.
