Great holiday recently in West Cork with far too many images to process. This set almost didn't happen as we found a spot with gorgeous views across the Kenmare River but several times were on the verge of moving on because it looked like the sunset wasn't going to happen (photogenically, of course!) Glad we stuck it out - this was the best one we saw in three weeks. Hope you like it.

Lovely images John, I like the build up to the sunset near the end.

Worth it! I think 9 & 10 are the two best.

I didn't open this thread yesterday as, from the title, I thought it would be a moan about the arrival of the monster 50 or the still non-existent next APS-C body!

However, I'm pleased I opened it today to discover this good series of photos. Although I like the sunset shots, my preferences from the set are 4 and 5.

Cheers.

Thank you, all, for commenting. I'm glad you like the set. There's something about coastal sunsets which always appeals, isn't there? The shimmering light on the water, the warmth of the fading light on the land and the silhouettes of the hills and mountains in the distance - fabulous!
