I would also recommend trying a blower first, a couple of blasts with the lens mount facing down nearly always does the trick. No need to physically touch the sensor that way. Indeed I noticed a speck of dust on my shots from the weekend, must give it a blast.

I see no real difference, you'll have to keep all.
So centre performance is incredibly similar, you'll have to do some city-scapes and landscapes to compare them across the frame to try and sort the wheat from the chaff.

I am one of the lucky ones for whom Pentax give me everything I need in cameras and lenses.
At our camera club we have about 60 members and within the last few months 4 members have switched from their old brand to Fuji, they were all Canon and Nikon users. The all electronic solution is clearly appealing to a lot of folks.
We had one guy go from Nikon to Sony after about a year he was back with Nikon. I think the all electronic solutions offered by the likes of Sony and Fuji get a lot of very positive on line media coverage which can help sway people. No doubt though that they can offer certain functions that work better than in a more traditional based camera.
As I say I'm lucky and happy where I am, shoot in RAW, use manual mode 90%, sometimes using Tav, my simple needs to photograph fulfilled.

As video recording has become the major feature for you it sounds like a wise, perhaps overdue move. Enjoy your Sony, I hope it proves to be a better fit to your requirements.

What's the point of what? I'm not sure what you're asking.
Perhaps think of your own photograph "Fly the Flag" I think it was called. Consider your photograph then come back to these and look afresh maybe.
