The Tokina ATX-Pro 20-35mm F2.8 is a very good lens if you can locate one new or used.

I think I'd personally prefer the 1st picture on it's own to the triptych as a whole - it's the strongest of the three shots by far IMHO.

I quite like the idea of triptych's though - it's something I've been meaning to try as well.

I have found photobucket to be easier than pbase.
I use pbase and don't have problems. If you go to the picture you want to link and choose "edit image" you're presented with a direct linking URL to use for that picture.

Upto £81 with 5 days still to go.......this is likely to get beyond what I want to spend. Seems daft that this may get well over £100 when a new f1.4 is available for <£150!
I'd be a little suprised if the lens went over £100, however it is Ebay so you never know!

I managed to pick up my own FA 50mm F1.7 for a lot less because it was in a job lot with an MZ50 and 28-80 (neither of which I wanted) and no-one else seemed to have noticed.

George: I was over in your part of the world at the start of this week. Unfortunately I didn't have much time for sightseeing however I did have time for a lesuirely drive round the TT circuit.

Personally if I had the choice between full-frame without anti-shake or APS-C with it then I'd take the full-frame option.

What exactly is the problem with the K10D with manual exposure lenses? Is anyone absolutely sure it's worse in this respect than any other model?
My DS always works out the correct exposure using stop-down metering however while my K10D calculates a correct exposure wide open it over-exposes at smaller apertures. It's not a big deal though as I meter wide open and work out the exposure from that if I want to use a smaller aperture.

My first SLR was a Z50p (and I still have it) - any lens which can be used on it can be used on a DSLR. If the lenses are powerzoom ones then some of their functions might not be available, however you wouldn't be losing anything useful.

Or would it be more appropriate to use flash? I don't normally like flash, but it can be useful in some circumstances.
To avoid red-eye & harsh shadows the flash would probably need to be bounced and with a large group that would need lots of power and/or a higher ISO especially if a slow lens is used.
