I get the same effect from about 2 ltrs of red wine but with rather more noise. Nice to see this with no after effects the for next week!

I love em' all. Just the thought of being there does it for me and I think that's all photography should be.

I see that in the manual it advises to turn anti shake off when using a tripod. Why is this, and can it cause damage if you leave it on. What about monopods?

I remember a photographic magazine in about 1980 published an article on how to get the effect using long exposures and featured pics of waves on rocks and of waterfalls to demonstrate it. From then on you couldn't go near a waterfall without falling over someone with a camera on a tripod locking up their mirrors and attaching cable releases so they could get a "unique" photo to amaze their friends with. Indeed a friend of mine turned up one day with his latest prints and a smug expression and showed me 36 shots of various bits of stream strewn Wales all done this way. I told him if he wanted to waste his money that way that was his business but I didn't want to see another one. Ever. Oh well. At least with digital it doesn't really cost you anything.

I have just looked on your website and love your photos EXCEPT why does everyone take pics of waterfalls with such a slow shutter speed that you get that horrid blurred effect of the water. I have never seen water like that with the naked eye. Early photographers would have killed for high enough shutter speeds to be able to capture the water movement clearly. Modern photographers seem to have thrown this facility away in the name of "ART".

It should be as simple as posting a pic for an add on eBay. I am not very good with computers and I too cannot be bothered to try, try and try again to still get nowhere.
