Yes, not much of that free here. Why not PM me at the weekend with some possible dates/times?

Tuscany is a great spot and many others here, but what not sure if there are any courses that are going around and if they are any good.
The photo holiday site I linked to above offer Tuscany trips. Otherwise, why not take a weekend break in Corsica or Sardinia?

HI Mattox

I found this when I was looking for a photo holiday a few months ago. I can't comment on the holidays because I've not yet booked but it looked good.

Hi Steve

A couple of tips you might find useful:

If for some reason you want to get your images into your Mac without using iPhoto you can use Image Capture. Close iPhoto when it opens automatically after you've connected your camera; open Applications/Image Capture; choose which photos you want to download and where you want to save them.

If you import your photos using iPhoto but need to get at the originals for some reason have a look at this article

Hope this helps

Martin

If your calendar will be printed on a litho or pro digital machine, I suggest using layout software such as Indesign - or at least Illustrator - for the calendar. Text is printed at 1200 dpi or 2400 dpi on litho machines while images are printed 300dpi (usually). Photoshop will rasterise the text and it too will be printed at 300dpi.

If you have to alternative to Photoshop I suggest looking online for a downloadable calendar in Illustrator .ai or .eps format. You should find some knocking about. You'll be able to import the Illustrator file into Photoshop.

Hi Jon

Just to let you know that the smc-m f/2.8 35mm arrived this afternoon. Very smart condition, excellent in fact. And I didn't even realise it came with a screw in hood - bonus!

Thanks very much.

Hi Mike

No problem - you did the right thing getting it below 2kg, Royal Mail can't be beaten for these weights.

I always find it odd that "they" (the couriers, Post Office etc.) want more money to guarantee they will actually do the job you are paying for in the first place properly. Imagine going to a restaurant and seeing "£15 (£20 to guarantee no food poisoning)"
Well, shipping to some countries by Royal Mail you can be 99% sure that anything of value won't arrive. I guess they just look at the risk involved and price accordingly - like insuring an 18 year old to drive a Ferrari.

When I lived in France absolutely nothing send from the UK that remotely resembled a present or goods arrived - all stolen en route by the French posties. Same situation for the couple of English friends I had down there.
