Photoshop does not recognise OLE objects so the real answer if you want to embed the word doc and have it update from word as an OLE object in PS can't be done

There is a sort of work around though, in word select and copy the text you want to show in PS, in PS create a new text layer and paste your word selection, you will most likely have to change the text colour from white to show it depending on your background colour. The text can be edited and resized in PS.

Hope this helps

Is there any reason you could not create a Word doc and embed your pictures into it?

If your calendar will be printed on a litho or pro digital machine, I suggest using layout software such as Indesign - or at least Illustrator - for the calendar. Text is printed at 1200 dpi or 2400 dpi on litho machines while images are printed 300dpi (usually). Photoshop will rasterise the text and it too will be printed at 300dpi.

If you have to alternative to Photoshop I suggest looking online for a downloadable calendar in Illustrator .ai or .eps format. You should find some knocking about. You'll be able to import the Illustrator file into Photoshop.
