the only reason I ever use other shops is that SRS only sell cameras. If I could buy my groceries, petrol, cars, houses, etc from Chris, I would probably do so.
The question then is......

Do Canon Bananas peel faster than Pentax Bananas
yes, but apparently you have to configure the peeling process very carefully or it all goes horribly wrong

two words

Ctrl-A (keyboard shortcut for select all).

I used to have a friend who had a saying
"the mouse is a games controler"

I wouldn't go that far, but keyboard shortcuts are always worth knowing.

do you mean replace your KM with an X-70? or buy an X-70 in addition to the KM?

if the former, what is it about the KM you find needs improvement? it could be that in your case the X-70 better suits your needs, or it could be that you would be better buying a new lens or some other item, or just practicing and mastering what you have.

The KM is a very capable little camera

well, apparently AP disagree. And you have to admit the self leveling thing is pretty clever and hasn't been done before (more or less the deffinition of "innovative" last I checked)

my first SLR was an MZ-7, an 18th birthday pressie. That went on holiday with me for several years, but never went to University because I considered the risk of it being lost stolen or damaged too great. There followed a succession of cheap MF K mount bodies from ebay, starting with a Ricoh KR-5 Super II.

Eventually I decided I wanted an AF/AE body for fencing photography and bought an MZ-50 second hand on ebay, then an SFX because the MZ-50 was too limited in handling older lenses with its crippled mount. Finally I bought a Z-50p which is probably my favourite film AF SLR, but less than a month later I got my *istDL2 and the rest is digital.

I'd have to disagree on that one. I'll be packing my teabags when I head off stateside tomorrow morning.

If my fiancee's recent visit to the colonies is anything to go by, it's the milk you'll have most bother with. Apparently she was offered a choice of soya milk or rice milk, no cow juice in sight!

These people probably make up the *majority* of DSLR purchasers - we just don't hear from them much because they're not into photography as a hobby, they just want to take snapshots and doing it on a DSLR is "better" than doing it on a compact (the adverts tell them so, so it must be true).

the really sad thing is that it's true, a DSLR on green does blow a compact to pieces. The latest couple of generations of compacts (yes including Pentax ones) have been so bad that I don't think there's one on the market I would bother to carry. My fiancee has a Fuji fd40 which isn't that bad, but I'd sooner carry my *istDL2 on auto-pict any day of the week.

now THAT photograph I can see merit in, I like that one. The timing of the shot, and just enough motion blur to imply speed (probably unavoidable with the film of the day, but well placed none the less). Perhaps I should look into this person a little more.
