pentax x70?

Sounds a little strange, when considering that K-m is a full DSLR, while the x70 is a fixed-lens P&S camera (or bridge, as I have been told).
If you are serious about photography, I would think that a more advanced DSLR would be the way to go.

The X70 gives a lot of options in a small box with no (or minimal) dust problems, a longer zoom and lighter weight. What's not to like?
If you don't use the DSLR to its fullest extents, I'd argue an X70 is a better buy. I'd still argue for one in most cases, mainly because it's not the kit that makes the picture....

Well, I don't like the extremely looong zoom. No way the image quality can be kept equal over the whole range.
Also, if you are keen on photography, the possibility to change lenses will pop up eventually.
On the positive side, though, you will not be smitten by the (in)famous LBA virus.

do you mean replace your KM with an X-70? or buy an X-70 in addition to the KM?
if the former, what is it about the KM you find needs improvement? it could be that in your case the X-70 better suits your needs, or it could be that you would be better buying a new lens or some other item, or just practicing and mastering what you have.

I bought a X70 as a second camera to my K20D. The kind of camera you grab if off out for a day with family, dog etc. I keep the K20D for serious stuff. The only issue with the X70 is battery life. I bought mine off fleabay for £150 (yep a bargain!) and it came with four spare batteries. And boy do you need them. Not sure if there is an answer as yet to get improved life but this is the only issue.
The X70 takes great pictures and the results I have are fantastic. So go for it!

The X70 is a good camera I had one but I sold it to get something smaller to fit in my pocket, the zoom lens is OK but you need a tripod if you go past 10X zoom and yes you will need extra batteries, you can see a few shots taken with it on my portfolio and some here on the forum,

i sold my k-m because i didnt realy have time to use it because of my job the long hours i do, and im not a proffesional photographer i just do it as a hoby, k-m was to good to keep in the bag not use for weeks.

I got my little sister a Fuji bridge for similar uses and she loves it.
