Well, I still have the DA 50-200mm on the bargain 30 quid Jessops order (which I doubt I will get now). I'll hold on for a week or so - but I started looking around - if I won't get the Jessops' one, I'd prefer to buy in January to benefit the Pentax cashback offer. I consider either the DA 50-200mm or a DA 55-300mm (which is more expensive, but longer telephoto). My budget shrinks really quickly this month

I just noticed at the SRS web page they have DA and DA-L 50-200mm Pentax lenses. What is the difference between them (apart from the price)?

I also bought K20D + 16-45mm at the end of December and I'm really happy (oh, well, I'd be happier with sunny weather on weekends ). And 50-200mm is below £100 in SRS.

I may be wrong, but the Shake Reduction function can also affect the sharpness. Try switching it off and use tripod.

I also noticed that (also use Firefox). It's even worse when you read forum on 2 PCs. Now I check that green/bold and date of the last post.

Mongoose: why, just consider changing your nick to 'Borg'. And than you can safely assimilate the C-word brand using black permanent marker + some sticker

I use WesternDigital Essential (500GB), USB. Good value for money, it has a metal case (with some rubber-like edges) so it disperse heat quite well, it's not too noisy.
