Been i while since i've posted on here ,so i thought i'd give you folks the chance to buy this cracking and very popular lens ,now the lens is A1 condition it comes with a Camlink CPL ,unfortunately my sons chocolate lab puppy chewed the box beyond repair but the lens will be posted with copious amount of bubble wrap .If i knew how to i'd post some pics of said lens and filter ,so maybe someone could point me in the right direction on that area of things .so as to the price i'd say around the £190 ...ono

think this should work

This will also be advertised else where (not ebay)

Thankyou for looking

Just a thought mind ,but you could use a step ring ...ie,a 77mm to a72mm ,that's what i use no problems

Thanks folks for your input,i think the problem is metal thread on filter and plastic thread on lens not a good combination at all .Not sure about putting lens in the freezer ,the metal ring would only get tighter as the metal would contract i would've though, but if all else fails .

I should have guessed this would happen because it was always a wee bit sticky to screw on ,no one to blame but myself

Yep used to have the sigg 70-200 when i had canon. The best combo i've used for mx to date was ,the K100D and siggy 24-70 f2.8 and the humble but very effective kit lens 18-55,was looking back at some last night cursing that i sold it .couple of examples .

Thanks for all the replies. Focus setting was AF-Center spot fixed .I see where your coming from about the camera might have been confused in the first shot ,but the other two no,most of the other shots taken were filling the view finder ,been shooting Mx for a while now ,my guess is it's the lens or body . There's another meet soon so i'm going to try the 18-55 kit lens which i've used before when i had the K100D just to see .Would it be worth sending it to be checked out by sigma ?.

Shutter speed isn't an issue with these style of shots that's my norm ,maybe a wee bit higher but not much .

Thanks again for your feedback

Hi there, was at the first race of Scottish Mx championship at Tain today ,came home downloaded the card ,hardly any of the shot were in focus ,not a happy bunny because we couldn't have had better weather .

This is my second outing with the K10D and sigma 17-70 f2.8-f4.5 shooting Mx ,getting a bit disillusioned now ,it's not as though i'm a new comer to shooting Mx .Here are a couple of examples. The exif information hopefully will help if it's me (i hope it is,but i'm not doing anything differently from when i had canon and pentax before )Thanks for looking and i eagerly await anyones advise and help .

Your's seriously frustrated Tog

Is there any particular reason why Pentax's lenses are slow on the af front .

As regarding not needing af for motorsport ,afraid i disagree ,Maybe with rallying it could work ,motocross is a different story these guys are a bit unpredictable for manual focusing .

I had the Sigma 70-200 when i used canon great performer really quick af and accurate with it ,i just thought i'd enquire about the Pentax 50-135 for it's weather proofing, anyways thank for your input
