Dear All,

A friend of mine has gone over the the dark side. He is now selling off the rest of his Pentax gear. Although there are many items I would love to buy, I cannot afford them at the moment and therefore he is offering them here.

This is the email he sent me:

=====
I can mail things (will have to for ebay) but for the expensive glass it would be better to collect in person if possible [Southampton], so there's no doubt about the functioning and condition (and I make good coffee).

These are all used, but in mint or nearly mint condition and all with the original box, case etc.:
- smc FA 31mm f1.8 Limited (black) £700
- smc FA 77mm f1.8 limited (black) £500
- smc DA* 16-50mm F2.8 ED AL (IF) SDM £500
- smc DA* 50-135mm F2.8 ED AL (IF) SDM £500
- smc DA 10-17 mm f3.5-4.5 ED fisheye - £280
- AF540-FGZ flash £225
- K20D body with BG-E2 grip and spare battery £450
- CS105 cable release. I think this is for MZ-S or something (three pins) £15

These are all in excellent or very good condition unless it says otherwise, but don't have boxes:
- AF540-FGZ flash (another one - works fine but the locking collar doesn't work) £180 ish
- smc FA 100mm f2.8 macro (the one that looks like a tank - no Pentax lens cap) ??£250??
- Tamron SP 90mm f2.5 macro, with two adaptall-KA adapters, matched 1:1 extension tube and
matched SP 2x converter ??£200??

I also have an LX body and various finders, backs, motordrive (c/w nicad & charger) AF280 flash, hammerhead flash grip etc. that it would definitely be best to look over if there's any interest in those.

If that wasn't enough, I'll probably part with my 6x7 kit now as well as I don't have a working body for it anymore (it died). I have 5 or 6 lenses (35mm fish, 45mm, 105mm, 150mm macro, 180mm, 2x coverter) plus lots of bits including a bellows (!), a *huge* copystand, a PK adapter and lots of the bayonet type pentax filters. I haven't had time to go through this and make a list with prices (wouldn't know where to start with some of it..), but - again - it would probably best to visit if possible.

Folk can email me for details and I'll take and send photos as and when needed.
=====================

Could you email Dave directly on dww@soton.ac.uk but mention your PUG name. Dave will email photographs of any stuff people are interested in.

Many thanks, Kris.

Frantically starts looking for money...
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.
