Great to see you again.
Thanks, I'm still here, not active with photography for now, but I like to keep an eye on all things Pentax and see how the PU crew are keeping!

They're all beautiful, but 5 & 8 have just a little bit extra that make them my picks.

Yes, Steve has hit quite a few nails on their heads! It's a great analysis.... He's right, the kids are just not so in awe of large scale natural wonders as us. There my daughter was totally absorbed by the tiny shrimps and crabs in the rock pools. I was perfectly pleased about that of course, it meant I was left in peace to dash around getting plenty of shots, something I am rarely given enough time for these days!

Thanks to everyone here for your kind positive responses

Well worth reviving, that's an amazing effect and your exposure and processing seem to have done full justice to the powerful scene.

Sometimes don't you find you hit a kind of sweet spot with one image file, something about it that all comes together with the light, compo, colours, processing etc, and just a sort of atmosphere...?

I think I found that with this one from the summer, which is going into the "favourites" category. You don't have to agree of course .....

Lovely light on these, and the low angles work well as theres something of interest to draw the eye across the top of each dune.

Very effective low viewpoints, like being in a fairies movie!.... (I have to see quite a lot of fairy movies, so I know what I'm talking about here).
