I bought this lense to take on safari next year. Earlier this year I found the FA*300mm was too long for some shots, as we were so close to the animals. My wife got some great shots with the 50-200 zoom, so hence the choice of the 60-250. Results at home have been great. Just waiting to try it next May. Managed to pick one up from Park Camera before the price hike!

If they sold the K7 that would make it about £8000 then...

I have been following this post with interest since I got home from my non photo-oriented job. For what it's worth, I see there are many points to be made here but at the end of the day, go out to buy a camera and maybe the choice is based on reviews or forums such as this, but it's down to personal choice, the price and the available funds at the end of the day!
I too am a gadget person and have had (still have) the istD, DS, K10, K20 and the K7. Don't want to part with any of them as they are all good in their own way in my opinion.
K20 to K7 upgrade was purely because the K7 was new! Still getting to grips with it - but I Like it!!...
PS anyone got a K7 Grip for sale

Well it wasn't me - it seems that the Flikr link only gives the one size!

Think I need some info on re-sizing as this one doesn't look too different from the last!..

First attempt at posting an image to the forum topic - Thanks to Stefan for the info.

Not a user of Photoshop - I usually use Picasa to crop images etc. Don't have time to sit and play with photoshop, so probably missing out on some good features.
Took this photo this morning and used some of the auto features and some sharpening on this. Any comments please

The size of this GGS one (judging by the description) is OK for the K-7:

Grease does not wipe off soft plastic protectors so easily even with a microfibre cloth. Hard glass ones are better.
Going to give this one a go for my K7...

Well I would hope that the weather seals live up to their name and do the job - as I am sure they will! However, I still would not tempt fate and go dunking £1500 worth of camera and lens in a bucket of water to prove the point...
