LCD Screen Protectors

Has anyone used the LCD protectors? I assume they are some kind of self-adhesive film, but I'm not sure about sticking anything to the screen. Would like to keep everything shiny and new as long as possible though.

I think that's the purpose of the protector.

Point taken, just wondered if I would have to start trying to remove glue from the screen at some point. We've all been victims of the dreaded sticky labels!

Unlikely, they're more of a 'film' than actual glue, kinda like clingfilm. A light scrub with some alcohol and a tissue would remove anything if it did stay on there.

That was the first thing I did before even taking a picture. Well, ya gotta do something while the battery charges, right?
I had some extra sheets made for my PDA, cut one to size, and it works great.

Unless you're in the States, I don't know if I can be much help with store names. (Got a "Comp USA" nearby? er, probably not )
But I would guess any of the big box store chains or major office supply stores should carry them. Then there is always the Internet, of course.

browngo1, I recently purchased a K10D and soon thereafter ordered the Invisible Shield for that camera. Having owned PDA's for years, I was very aware of the dangers of scratching the screen - and of the limitations of many PDA screen protectors. The Invisible Shield is much thicker than these, but fits really well (just follow the easy instructions), and it doesn't impair the view of either of the cameras screens.
I'm not sure if they have suppliers outside of the USA, but I ordered directly from their website.

Just a followup, today I showed my K10D to my assistant. She has a D200 and was really impressed with the handling, features etc of the camera and kept oohhing and aaahing over the 16-45mm I'm learning on.
I mentioned the LCD protection and she hadn't even noticed it. She went to Shieldzone's website and ordered one for her camera, two for her kids' PSP's and another for her husband's Blackberry!
I wish I got commission!

Anyhoo, I'm off the green setting, onto P and dipping my toes into some of the other options every now and then. Getting the exposure right is still an issue, but the bracketing feature on the camera is teaching me a lot!
