Been reading about the Samsung GX-20 and it gets better reviews than the K20d. Essentially they are the same camera so im told so why is the Samsung GX-20 better?

P.S

Considering its iso800, this absolutely knocks spots off my friends Sony A300 at iso800 (his is very very grainy in comparison)

Hi,

To be honest its exactly as the same colour as the plant. It was under exposed quite a bit and just did a upped the exposure a bit in photoshop.

Perhaps a little too much.

I think the way the depth of field is brilliant considering its only a standard lens.

I will get out in the garden tomorrow when the weather is a bit better and post some more up without any exposure adjusted and see what you think.

I think we all have our own preference. Themacs are good for creative work and if you use them day in day out i can imagine you would get used to them. My experience wasnt a good one. I just found them too clunky. I was definitely more productive on a PC than i ever was on a mac.

Hi,

Ive been a PC user for 15yrs nearly. I did briefly have an 20" intel imac and this was my experience...

I was fed up of viruses, spyware etc etc so i went to the Apple store in the Trafford centre in Manchester and bought a new 20" Intel iMac.

I was so excited i could hardly contain it but i got it home, unpacked it and fired it up.

It was awesome and i was so excited at learning a totally new operating system. BUT........ Within 7 days i had learned it, and the difference in how windows does things is like chalk and cheese. Some things are nice touches (eg: being able to preview a file without opening the program that runs that file) but some things are just so silly and long winded compared to windows. I took it back and got a refund. I then spent the same money building my own PC (AMD Phenom, 8gb Ram, 500gb HD etc etc) and running vista ultimate.

I am very happy and yes i have to pay £23 per year on Eset NOD32 antivirus (which is amazing i might add), but it s worth it for the logical operating system and speed.

I think once the honeymoon period wears off it hits you that its not that good after all.

If your a hardened PC user and have been for years i think you will either love it or hate it.

If you have little experience of computers then you may stand more chance of adapting.

Just my 2cents worth

P>S Photoshop CS3 on mac doesnt have a background so the desktop displays through the program (until you open a pic that is. just very weird compared to CS3 on a pc)

What is it about Pentax users?

They are just sooooooooo friendly.

Everyone here just seems so nice and willing to help.

I have been on a few slr forums recently and they are just so bitchy, snobby and downright unpleasant. (talkpho***raphy cough cough)

Hi,

Well i have just planned to go down to the shop in Watford on tuesday so im going to ring them 2moro to make sure they will have stock.

Cant wait now. I like to be different and hate fanboys of canon and nikon that ram it down your throat that they are superior.
SO i will take some pics on tuesday and put a few up on my gallery for c+c

Matt
Well, I'm a new found Nikon 'fan boy', but the fact that I still post frequently on here and look at it most days says something! All I will say is that Nikon and Canon are popular for a reason, and it isn't just rampant brand blindness all the time.

But anyway, I moved to Nikon gear for a specific reason that I couldn't achieve to my satisfaction with Pentax, namely I needed a high FPS camera with low noise.

If I hadn't needed that, I wouldn't have changed. If Pentax release something akin to the D300 in the futre, then I'll be back to Pentax gear in a heartbeat! Meantime, I'm seriously looking at a Pentax k-m for carrying whilst out mountain biking.

I'm sure you'll be very very pleased with your K200d, and it's a lovely capable camera. This lot on here are also a mostly helpful bunch!
Hi,

Didnt mean to offend, its just ive been on a few forums and just got a constant "go with canon or nikon , the others are ****"

Just annoyed me!
