First K100d Super Pics

Hi,

Decided to go for a K100d after all..

First pic with it... Be Gentle...

I think the focus, composition and exposure are all good, however, the colours look a little over-saturated for my taste. It's difficult to tell (when you're not the person who took the photo) how the scene appeared in real life so maybe I'm wrong, but it looks a little too bright to be natural for me.

This is only a minor criticism by the way and the sort of thing that can be endlessly adjusted post-capture, so don't let it put you off!

Good start mattp, as hefty1 has said the photo is a tad bright and can be corrected post, are you using a calibrated screen :

To be honest its exactly as the same colour as the plant. It was under exposed quite a bit and just did a upped the exposure a bit in photoshop.

Perhaps a little too much.

I think the way the depth of field is brilliant considering its only a standard lens.

I will get out in the garden tomorrow when the weather is a bit better and post some more up without any exposure adjusted and see what you think.

Considering its iso800, this absolutely knocks spots off my friends Sony A300 at iso800 (his is very very grainy in comparison)
